Project Detailsx
Client: Lara Town Centre
Location: Melbourne, Australia.
Built forms generally reflect vernacular structures and forms that obtain their basis from the general locale, which hold a strong association to the area. Dynamic forms, that offer clear and cognitive directional indicators to the varying aspects of the new Shopping Centre, and the use of themed natural and modern building materials, echo the towns heritage and traditional formations, while also expressing the current township in an appropriate and contemporary manner. Therefore, our general intention is to produce an architectural language that is new, clean, fresh, hardwearing and contemporary, but to also utilise the areas historic basis for a progressive project concept.
